Fusion Health & Well Being based in Grimsby, promote and encourage health-related activities to the community through sport and recreation at the Fusion Centre. As a Sported member, as well as part of a network of local partnerships and the UK wide sport for development community, founder Wayne Bloy and his team are passionate about looking at innovative ways to manage their activities and make the best impact they can with the resources they have.

They currently have over 2000 participants of all ages taking part in boxing, various fitness sessions and physical therapy consultations. The centre has grown rapidly and even houses a community hub that is delivering activities such as a parent toddler group. Wayne, Lisa and the team started using Upshot in Summer 2019 to collect data easily, while busy delivering at the centre and out and about in the community.

Upshot enables Fusion to keep all their data in one place and have a real-time view of how things are going. It also gives them an easy way to provide reports to potential and existing funders and stakeholders quickly and easily, showing the areas where participants come from, their demographic details and patterns of attendance. By using surveys and recording timeline events, they are also able to showcase the impact their work has both in the community and with individuals.

At the welcoming front desk, first-time visitors can sign-up in seconds using the attendee sign-up form on a tablet. Once signed up, volunteers and coaches can add the participant to the register for each session quickly and easily, either at the session on the Upshot Mobile App or afterwards in the office.

"Having everything in one place, without paper forms, reduces our admin time and effort so we can concentrate more on delivery. Upshot is very easy to use - just like a social media app or ordering something on the internet, you don't have to be technical to use it.

At any given time with the click of a couple buttons, I can run a report that tells me how many people attended, who those people are and how many sessions we have delivered. As we grow, it becomes increasingly important to be on top of this and Upshot has become integral to the way we work"
